Jessica Drops Out of Kennedy Broadcast

Unhappy with her attempt to pay tribute to honoree Dolly Parton with a rendition of the country legend's hit song "9 to 5," Simpson has withdrawn from the Kennedy Center Honors which are set to broadcast on CBS Dec. 26. , but were filmed Dec. 3.

George Stevens Jr., the show's producer, said, "We appreciate the time and energy Ms. Simpson put into this event and respect the high standards she has for herself and that of the Kennedy Center Honors." As I'm sure most of you recall, Simpson botched the song at the Washington, D.C., tribute where she fled the stage in tears in front of a packed house that included President George W. Bush and First Lady Laura Bush.

Wow, looks like Jess is caught up in one huge downward spiral!

High standards for herself???? WTF? IF she had high standards she wouldn't have botched the song during a freakin tribute, what a dumbass.

It sounds to me that the Kennedy Center people didn't want to use her performance at all since it didn't meet their "high standards". They are letting Jessica say she's the one who didn't like the performance, just so she can save face.
