Brandy In $50 Million Lawsuit
The parents of the woman killed in a car accident involving R&B singer Brandy filed a $50 million wrongful death lawsuit Tuesday against the former Moesha star. The suit alleges "Brandy was driving recklessly" when she struck their daughter.
On Dec. 30, Brandy rear-ended 38-year-old Awatef Aboudihaj, a mother of two, on a Los Angeles freeway, causing a chain reaction which ultimately killed the Moroccan immigrant, police say. On Monday, investigators recommended that Brandy be charged with misdemeanor vehicular manslaughter without gross negligence. The L.A. City Attorney is reviewing the case.
Has anyone read more information about this case? I'm wondering if Brandy really was to blame, or the parents just think she's a money ticket out of this terrible occurrence.

I think they're just looking for a big fat check. I feel for them for loosing their daughter, but $50 mil? Come on!
I'm sure Brandy feels awful and is willing to offer something, but some people are just greedy. Sheesh!!

I don't think I've heard the full story but it sounds like she bumped this person's car from behind (going the speed limit and not under the influence) which started a chain reaction resulting in several accidents...its horrible but it sounds like it really was just an "accident". I bet Brandy will offer them some amount and settle out of court. And how rich is Brandy these days anyway?

TMZ says that traffic ahead of her had slowed and she didn't realize, crashing into a car, which crashed into the deceased woman's car.
Personally, I hope the woman's family get's something. She has two small kids. Plus, it's kinda weird that the news of this broke so much later than it actually happened.

I don't think it's that, I would cause what ever damage possible to the person who killed my loved one, including milking their money to the point of breaking them, sending their arse to prision and making sure they never forget what they did. Either way, it's terrible and I would hate to be in Brabdies position or the family of the deceased.

From what I understand it is her fault:
